The Drake Cutter [Star Citizen]
Переглядів 30 тис.10 місяців тому
Today we review the Drake Cutter. The Space Pirate Camper Van of the Skies. A ship that looks like it was made in a backyard, but was actually made by a multi-billion dollar company that doesn't care if you explode while flying it. Star Citizen Gameplay at it's finest. But that doesn't mean the Drake Cutter isn't worth flying. In fact, this might be the most immersive ship in all of Star Citize...

Editor: Backspaced - www.youtube.com/@UCN0iuppQ9aroTFE8D8bof5w Cinematography: Heliodor Ren - www.youtube.com/@Heliodor-Ren While you were having fun, I studied The Blade. A ship that's more alien than it's not - or is it? The Blade has been nerfed, buffed, revised, and most everywhere between. A legitimate Double Edged Sword. This 1:1 replica of a Vanduul 1st wave scout ship is a quirky concoc...

The Pilot Interviews the New Pilots Initiative | Elite Dangerous
Alright Mr. Pilot. First off, i hope you're alright, and if you're not, that you get better soon. I don't know if you're gonna read this, or if you are gonna answer, but here goes: I miss your videos. i just love your style. additionally, in case you ever do another elite video, there are 2 new ships to make a video about. o7
Gautama makes some beautiful ships, but all ships explode the same looking from my FDL and Corvette.
I'm currently building a cucumber. I'm still unlocking engineers and stuff. The anticipation is killing!
Wait ... Natalie Dormer is a dude ??
@ThePilot_ I just thought I should let you know, these ED Ship Reviews are more then reviews, they're art. I come back to them every time I get back into ED, and I watch every single one. They make me laugh, get goosebumps, watch in awe, and sometimes tears bubble up. They get better every time I watch them, and so many of the lines stick with me. You make fantastic work, and YOU are amazing. o7 CMDR.
06:44 Sems like Frontier didn't understand what a Covette us suppose to be and just slapped the word "corvette" onto any ole' thing.
I got it for free on a christmas event. i dont use it though
Definitely worth a sub. I skipped this ship and I'm not much of a combat pilot but this makes me want to go back and learn how so I can feed on the corpses of my enemies.
Freelancer was a hard sell even at launch never mind today. I enjoyed it a little bit. It took Nightstalker to mod the ever living crap out of it to make it REALLY enjoyable.
Any video w/ Scott is a good video.
Nice video overall tho.
04:45 *"Flying around in something that's bigger than the Pyramid of Giza"* ... uhh that's a big NOPE !!! The base alone of the Pyramid of Giza is 13 acres in surface. That's over 10 football fields (not soccer)
"Flight Assist OFF" -FDL
The Anaconda don't want none unless you've got buns, hun
The Phantom is what i use as my exploration ship. It might not jump as far as the Anaconda or Diamondback Explorer but it does have the 3rd highest jump range after being fully engineered, it's more manoeuvrable than either the Anaconda or Asp Explorer, the smaller size makes it more convenient for planetary landing and you can put a much better fuel scoop on it than the Diamondback.
15 hours into the game, i made some 2 million with courier jobs, got me a Dolphin and some passenger runs. Now, with 4 million to my name, you instantly sold me the Keelback :D
LFT 509
This ship was made for idiots like me .Yes, im the type of pilot that sees a Diamondback Explorer, wants it, but instead of be a patient Commander and collect the required amount of cash, we buy a Diamondback Scout. Because it looks similar enough and the brain releases all the nice happy drugs because of the new and shiny toy. Rinse and repeat with the Asp series. I wasn't unhappy with the Asp Scout, but as you said, her big brother outmatches her in any way.
We should do the same thing that the combat pilot community did in real life with the F-16. Nobody in their right mind calls this bird a Fighting Falcon. They call it Viper. Which sounds awesome. So, the Vulture shall be the Mantis or Mantis Shrimp now. Because it looks like an insect and it has two giant weapons to swing at the enemy.
Currently playing and new to Elite Dangerous. Your videos are so great. Love them. I'm looking for the next ship out of the sidewinder and what to do.
I own a Python. I don't use it much as the rebuy cost is ruinous.
She build out of desperation, to buy us time for the first generation of tailor made Anti-Thargoid vessels to emerge. Say what you want about Lakon, but i doubt Core Dynamics or Gutamaya were capable of buying us this time. Although the thought of throwing endless amounts of Clippers and Doorstops at the Thargoids is kinda amusing.
Man i love the "passive" heat sinks on Saud Kruger ships. And with passive i mean, no moving parts, not gizmos and gimmicks, just radiating heat. Just like the glass-ceramic stovetops in your kitchen. Hot stuff behind a monolithic ceran panel. Just like these ships. A huge uniform block of high tech materials in the vague shape of an aquatic mammal.
You forgot to mention the free Anaconda you get by doing the legendary, the mythic, the most tedious yet most awesome, loved by critics and haters, where boys become men and girls become women, pilots become legends themselves and quitters working in some federal cubicle instead.....im talking about the Hutton Run. You get a free Anaconda by flying to Hutton Orbital and buying a mug there.
Some say, these ships are like Hypercars. But they're not. They don't break, they're not fragile, they don't need a full service after like 20 kilometers on the road. They can do more than looking beautiful and speeding on some highway or getting swallowed by sand and dust in some forgotten parking garage in Dubai. These ships can fight, they can haul and they getting it in your face. What is it, you may ask? I don't know, but every Gutamaya has it. Dialed up to 11, 24/7 all year long and sooner or later, you will love it. Now excuse me, i have a dream to catch or shall i say...Bask in it's glory.
It has huge capacity and lots of guns, but low shields and is slow. It is really designed to be sat in the middle of a sector. Due to the long launch tube and only 1 M dock, it doesn't do rapid deployments well and really requires forethought. But if you have one, it's the most formidable weapon you will ever have. I use it as a flagship. The shark is a much better carrier, and what I fill out my fleets with.
I forgot this ship existed
That big spoiler just completely ruins this ship.
I suppose I feel a bit sorry for you for not having played it back in 2003. I think I've played it most years since then, and I don't particularly care if nostalgia has a lot to do with it or not, I enjoy it and that's all that matters. I played Darkstar one, Spaceforce Rogue Universe, various other products of the time, and when I try any of those games today, they seem bad, yet Freelancer always feels good, and more importantly, fun to play. They made it easy to shoot stuff with a mouse, something none of the other space games had really done, or done well at least, engine kill or what you would call flight assist off in Elite today, great pvp, and there were thousands of players online at all times from all over the world, on so many servers, vanilla or with mods because they arrived on the scene very quickly after release. Websites like Lancers reactor quickly sprung up with modding tutorials, tools, new ships, and what followed was magic, what a great community it forged, and I think that's why people don't like it when others shit on it when they weren't there to appreciate what it truly delivered in its time. Only Homeworld holds a similar place in my heart, for similar reasons, and I also still regularly revisit to this day. You ask a kid of today to go back and play Half-Life 2 and they will say it's shit and has too many loading screens, such is the way of things.
This video is why I bought Elite.
4 years later and I still watch this video.
I hope you'll cover the Python MK2 and Type-8. Followed by the 2 new ships later this year.
he really hates trump lol, i wonder what he thinks of Trudeau in 2024
I've only been flying this thing for a short time, but I've learned to be patient, it's true...
Where do I even buy the adder
Holy shit I forgot about this LMFAO
This game really ain't built for console players nevermind everything is so expensive😭
The hauler was my first ship after the sidewinder when i was new and i used it to transport random goods across the bubble to earn myself enough capital to get a python. It was worth it and it was amazing
The video that sold me on the cutter xD
1:00 Editor: So, how many shots of the ship boosting do you want? ThePilot: Yes.
4:38 LMAOOO that was hilarious
Best delivery ship ever! Fast to get there, space for many packages and she is small enough to land at those tough small locations 💪🏻love her and she holds her own against the random NPC Cutlass Black too 😁
One thing i like most about this ship is it runs cold as ice. When your fuel scooping you can park right on top of the star.
it feels like flying a can tbh. Everybody talks about the small canopy, but the creaking sound is just awful. It feels like it's about to disassemble. Flying Krait MK 2 for exploration nowadays, never looked back.
I have to disagree, I need the Python for passenger missions and hauling where only S and M size pads are available.
I hope you’re well. I miss you, and your art. I hope your family is well, and I’m sure you’re thriving what ever you’ve chosen to do!
whats that rocket launcher called u use? i love these small missiles
I run my DBX with a main AND a backup AFMU. Makes things a bit less tense.
I have a corvette I sunk like 2 1/2 years of engineering into her, and I can successfully say she has earned her moniker as The Queen of the Haz res sites and Conflict Zones she’s a 2 huge multicannon and 5 beam build with thermal vent and efficient weapon She also has a prismatic shield with reinforced Hi-Cap and a ton of booster and 2 size 7 cell banks and with the thermal vent means I don’t need to sacrifice shield strength for heatsinks my ship is the heat sink and her name and I think this is very well earned considering in terms of bounties, combat bonds and assassination missions she has close to 17-18 thousands confirmed kills
I forgot her name she’s called The Dauntless (in Latin means The Fearless)
I found the length of the ship on Artstation. 2400 meters!
Wow your mom must be 2500m then
